The Christ Child Society is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, serving children in the greater Detroit area. Our primary focus is caring for the boys at the Christ Child House as well as clothing the newborn and providing additional services to nurture the youth in our surrounding communities. Our organization includes and embraces members of all faiths, dedicated to expressing their love of the Christ Child by service to all God's children.
The Christ Child Society of Detroit is part of the National Christ Child Society, which has nearly 6,000 members in 44 chapters across 20 states driven by faith, love, and a desire to change the futures of children in need. The society was founded in 1887 in Washington DC by Mary Virginia Merrick.
