The Modest Foundation is a grassroots social service organization headquartered in Metropolitan Detroit, serving Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties. Its mission is to bridge gaps in access to healthcare and everyday resources for underserved communities.
Originally rooted in community health advocacy, the foundation now powers Vision After Sight, a national initiative focused on connecting blind and low-vision individuals to practical, life-changing resources. This work grow out of founder Robert McPherson’s personal journey after losing his sight at 55, and his belief thataccess to the right information can transform lives.
